Student Guidance and Discipline Services
In alignment with the schools’ mission in student guidance and discipline services, all school staff share the same values and missions in terms of helping students develop self-esteem, self-discipline and positive attitudes, cultivating their sense of responsibility, respectful attitudes towards others and a sense of commitment. To meet the needs of students' growth, our school organize a range of guidance and counseling activities to help students unleash their potential and attain a whole-person development, thereby providing them with individual or group counseling services.
Personal Growth Education
Our school supports students’ learning and nurture their personal growth and sense of achievement through organizing the student guidance classes for P.1-6 students.
Moral and Civic Education
To nurture positive values and attitudes among students through the learning and teaching of skills and subject knowledge in each KLA/subject curriculum and across other learning disciplines.
Subject-based guidance services
Teachers of Chinese, English and Mathematics from P.3-6 mentor the less capable learners after class.
Integrated Student Guidance Classes
In order to help students with unsatisfactory academic performance and difficulties in learning improve their learning performance and learning skills. Our teachers provide enrichment teaching after class or during class time.
School-based student guidance courses
Primary 1 and 2 students have three comprehensive lessons per week, the syllabus of which covers core subject areas like Chinese, English and Mathematics. Teachers provide student with enrichment tutorial and personal growth support services. The classes are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Wednesdays in the ninth period. The enrichment lessons of each subject are separated from group learning activities to provide appropriate assistance for students with unsatisfactory academic performance.
Personal Growth Classes, Focus Groups, Outdoor Learning Camps, Service Learning
Through growth classes, focus groups, outdoor learning camps, service learning and other activities, we gradually help students overcome difficulties and enhance their interest in learning, so as to build their self-confidence and further develop their potential.
A Personalized Learning Scheme
We endeavor to create a more personalized and enriching learning environment for students with learning difficulties. We hold regular meetings with educational psychologists, student guidance officers, course directors, subject teachers and parents to jointly understand more about learners’ needs and determine the short-term and long-term goals to so as improve students’ academic performance, facilitate the development of self-care and interpersonal growth.
School-based Support Scheme for Newly Arrived School Children
We fully support newly arrived students in learning English, and help them in their personal development, growth and social adaptation.
Early identification and counselling of Primary 1 students with learning difficulties
Primary one students with learning difficulties are identified through the "Primary One Early Identification Scale" and referred to the educational psychologist for assessment and follow-up action as soon as possible.
Early childhood connection
We organize Primary One orientation activities and seminars talks to help Primary One students and their parents adapt to primary school life as soon as possible.
Order-standing Adolescent Project
Through experiential learning, team building and leadership building activities, students can be taught to be more resilient and develop their sense of self-esteem, responsibility, self-discipline and courage when they are faced with challenges.
Our school makes use of the "Enhanced Speech Therapy Grant" to employ school-based speech therapists who regularly visit the school to provide appropriate speech therapy and follow-up services to students in need.
The Rainbow Project
We implement life-wide learning activities and make use of the after-school learning activity grants to financially support underprivileged students so that they can participate in life-wide learning activities, extra-curricular activities and interest classes with professional tutors. They are expected to cultivate their interests and abilities, improve their self-esteem and self-confidence.
Community-based Projects
After class, enrichment and remedial classes are held for the sake of the helping students catch up with their learning progress, review previous knowledge, improve their academic performance and stimulate students' self-directed learning skills.
